Reception For Bulgarian Ambassador to the USA
The
Bulgarian-Macedonian National Educational and Cultural Center was the
site of the reception in honor of the Chairman of the National Assembly
of the Republic of Bulgaria, Speaker Georgi Pirinski, on August 21,
2008. Ms. Patricia Penka French, President of the BMNECC, welcomed the
Bulgarian Ambassador to the United States, H.E. Elena Poptodorova.
Among those in attendance were the Consul General of Bulgaria in New
York, Nikolay Milkov, John Dindak, Mayor of West Homestead, Betty
Esper, Mayor or Homestead, Ray Bodnar, Mayor of Munhall, Allen
Kukovich, representative of the governor's office, Bill Flanagan,
Allegheny Conference, Katherine Lesko of the Enterprise Zone, Ken
Service, V. P., La Roche College,
and Tadao Arimoto. Ms. French and
her board members also greeted representatives of industry and
foundations. The BMNECC, which will celebrate its 79th year, is the
oldest Bulgarian Center in the U.S.
